1) Non‑medical disclaimer

MakeupCast provides cosmetic suggestions only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent disease, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always follow product labels and patch‑test as needed.

2) Acceptable use

• No scraping, reverse engineering, or automated abuse.
• No unlawful, infringing, or harmful use of content or services.
• Fair use and rate limits apply (anonymous or free tiers may be restricted; see Pricing/FAQ for quotas).

3) Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and comply with applicable laws in your region. If you are under the age required by law, a parent/guardian must consent.

4) Subscriptions & billing

• Merchant of Record: we use a third‑party provider (e.g., Lemon Squeezy) to process payments and taxes.
• Plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
• If a payment fails or a subscription expires, your account may be downgraded to the free tier; historical reports remain read‑only.

5) Cancellation & refunds

1. Cancellation: you can cancel anytime from Account → Billing (or via the customer portal link we provide). Your benefits continue until the end of the current period.
2. Refund window: for subscriptions, we generally do not offer prorated refunds after renewal. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 7 days of the charge.
3. One‑time purchases: if applicable, are refundable only when required by law or if explicitly stated on the offer page.
4. How to request: email support at support@makeupcast.com with your account email, receipt/transaction ID, and reason. We will respond within 5–7 business days.
5. Local consumer rights: If you reside in a jurisdiction with statutory cooling‑off or refund rights, those rights apply in addition to this policy.

6) Content & IP

You retain rights to your inputs; we grant you a license to view and use generated reports for personal use. Do not resell or misuse trademarks, logos, or copyrighted materials.

7) Data export & deletion

You can request an export of your profile/reports or delete your account data via Account → Export/Delete. Deletion is irreversible and may take up to 30 days in backups.

8) Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect product or legal changes. We will post the updated version with an effective date.
