1. Status of these terms

These are pre-launch terms. The operating legal entity, governing law, dispute terms, minimum age, and production billing/refund terms must be completed and reviewed before public production launch.

2. The service

MakeupCast provides a Beauty Passport, owned-product Today Casts, optional weather context, combination-level WearSessions, a deterministic base troubleshooting tool, product comparison, and evidence labels. Features and supported product coverage may change.

3. Cosmetic support, not medical advice

MakeupCast does not diagnose, treat, or prevent disease and does not replace a qualified medical professional. Follow product labels, patch test where appropriate, and stop use if irritation occurs.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your sign-in method, and activity under your account. Do not share access or attempt to access another person’s data.

5. Evidence and decisions

A Today Cast, troubleshooting hypothesis, or Buy, Sample, Wait, or Skip result is decision support, not a guarantee. Product facts can be incomplete, stale, or conflicting; the interface identifies those limits. Your personal wear result may differ.

6. Acceptable use

Do not abuse request limits, probe private systems, submit unlawful material, bypass access controls, automate bulk extraction, or use MakeupCast to infringe another person’s rights.

7. Plans and billing

The free plan is available during pre-launch testing and uses server-enforced capacity and monthly feature limits. Plus pricing and its higher fair-use limits are a hypothesis; checkout is disabled until the merchant, taxes, renewals, cancellation, refunds, ownership binding, and webhook verification are finalized. Final paid terms will be shown before any charge.

8. Affiliate links

A retailer link may generate compensation only when enabled and disclosed. Compensation must not influence the result, ranking, evidence state, or whether MakeupCast identifies a purchase as unnecessary.

9. Your content and product content

You retain rights in the notes, inputs, and optional product-label photos you provide. You grant MakeupCast and its disclosed processors the limited permission needed to process them for the requested service. Product-photo prefill creates a draft for your review and does not establish that a label is accurate, authentic, safe, or suitable. Product names, trademarks, and source material remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Third-party weather data

Live weather that MakeupCast obtains from OpenWeather carries the provider attribution in your records and account export. MakeupCast normalizes and combines that weather snapshot with personal product and wear context; OpenWeather does not endorse the resulting recommendation. The OpenWeather license applicable to MakeupCast's subscription controls use of that provider data. Published self-service Open License terms identify CC BY-SA 4.0 and ODbL attribution and ShareAlike obligations where applicable. OpenWeather's name and official logo remain its property. Manual and synthetic local-demo weather are not OpenWeather data. Preserve the attribution and review the official source, license, and terms links on the Data attributions page when reusing exported provider weather.

11. Availability and liability

The service can be unavailable or contain errors. Weather observations and forecasts can also be delayed or inaccurate. To the extent permitted by applicable law, MakeupCast is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or a specific cosmetic result. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.

12. Ending use

You may stop using the service, export supported app data, and request deletion. MakeupCast may restrict abusive or unlawful use. The production deletion and backup process must be verified before launch.
