Prefer observations to labels
Terms such as dry, oily, combination, and sensitive can be useful shorthand, but they do not predict every formula. Notes such as comfortable for six hours, separated around the nose, or caused a reported sting are more actionable.

- Include the routine and wear time.
- Keep suspected causes labelled as uncertain.
